On October 1st around 8:15 PM EST we will be placing a new router online. This will disrupt service for about 5 minutes or less. This new router will be IPV6 ready and prepare us for 2009 as we bring in 2 more bandwidth providers.

Effected customers will be:

Web Hosting Clients
BostonVDS.COM Clients

(Please be aware email will temporary be offline during this maintenance window.)

Colocation and Dedicated Server clients will not be effected.

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE FOR 8/29/2008 at 4AM-8AM

At this time we will be moving web01-web10 to a new rack in the data center and deploying web60-web75. The downtime will not effect clients that are on redundant hosting plans. This weekend and next weekend we will be moving clients from our non-redundant server to our fully redundant servers if requested. (Yes you have an option during maintenance window to enable fully redundant hosting).

Scheduled downtime per server will be less than 20 minutes within the scheduled maintenance window.

If you are receiving this email, this scheduled downtime will effect your hosting and email accounts. You will not loose emails in this process as our cache backup servers will populate any emails incoming to your hosting account and deliver when the server is back online.

We have implemented a ticket system for support and abuse emails. Tickets will be opened automatically when you email support or abuse. You will be able to check status and escalate the ticket accordinly.
